This Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs the manner in which Aditya Institutes (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute", "we", "us", or "our"), an educational portal operating under the website edu.springreen.in, collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information. Aditya Institutes is a subsidiary brand of Springreen (hereinafter "the Parent Company").

This Policy is a legally binding document. By accessing or using the services, registering an account, or submitting any information to us, you, the user (hereinafter "you", "your", or "Data Principal"), provide your free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent to the processing of your Personal Data as described herein.

We act as the Data Fiduciary for the Personal Data we process. This Policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and its associated rules.

This Policy applies to all Personal Data collected from Data Principals, including, but not limited to, students, prospective applicants, parents or legal guardians of minor students, faculty, and visitors to our website (edu.springreen.in).

If you are a minor (under the age of 18), you must use our services under the supervision and with the verifiable consent of your parent or legal guardian. Please refer to Section 8 (Children's Privacy) for specific provisions.

3. THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT (PERSONAL DATA)

We collect only such Personal Data as is necessary for the specified purposes of providing our educational services. The types of data collected include:

Personal Identification Information: Full name, date of birth, age, gender, email address, mobile phone number, residential address, and government-issued identification (where necessary for certification or compliance).

Parent/Guardian Information: For all Data Principals under the age of 18, we will collect the full name, email address, and phone number of a parent or legal guardian to obtain verifiable consent.

Academic & Profile Information: Course(s) enrolled, academic records, assignments, grades, performance data, user-generated content (such as forum posts or project submissions), and communications with instructors or Institute staff.

Payment & Financial Information: Billing address and payment method details. Please note: We do not store full credit/debit card numbers. All payments are processed by secure, compliant third-party Data Processors (payment gateways).

Technical Information (Automatic Collection): IP address, browser type and version, device information, operating system, and cookie data. This is collected to ensure the security, functionality, and improvement of our portal.

Communications Data: Records of your correspondence with us, including support tickets, email interactions, and feedback submissions.

4. HOW & WHY WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA (PURPOSE OF PROCESSING)

Our Parent Company (Springreen): Your data may be shared with Springreen for internal administrative, operational, reporting, and strategic planning purposes. Springreen is bound by this Policy.

These processors are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it for the specific purposes we dictate.

Instructors and Faculty: Your academic information and communications will be shared with the relevant instructors for the purpose of providing educational instruction and feedback.

Legal & Governmental Authorities: We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law, by an order from the Data Protection Board of India, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) comply with a legal obligation; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the Institute; or (c) protect against legal liability.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Data may be transferred to the acquiring entity, which will be bound to uphold the commitments made in this Policy.

6. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA PRINCIPAL

Under the DPDP Act, you have specific rights regarding your Personal Data. You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting our Grievance Redressal Officer.

Right to Access: You have the right to request a summary of your Personal Data that we process.

Right to Correction & Erasure: You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate or misleading Personal Data, the completion of incomplete data, or the updating of your data. You may also request the erasure of your Personal Data, which we will honor unless retention is required for a specified legal purpose.

Right to Withdraw Consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The process to withdraw consent shall be as easy as the process to give it. Upon withdrawal, we will cease processing your data for the purposes you consented to, unless processing is required for a legitimate use or legal obligation.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (USERS UNDER 18)

We take the protection of children's data extremely seriously. In compliance with the DPDP Act:

  • We will not process any Personal Data of a child (an individual under 18 years of age) without verifiable parental consent from a legal parent or guardian.
  • We will not undertake any tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.
  • We will not process any data that is likely to cause any detrimental effect on the well-being of a child.
  • Parents/guardians who provide consent for their child have the right to review the child's Personal Data and request its deletion at any time.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Salem, Tamilnadu, India.
